Madison College Paralegal Program

Midwest partners with Madison College to enrich the paralegal curriculum with state of the art training and software.

Owner, Shawn Olley recently joined forces with Norma Kropp, Paralegal Faculty at Madison Area Technical College (“Madison College”) to develop curriculum for educating paralegals in the area of technology.

Software and hardware options in the legal field continue to become more sophisticated. Paralegals entering the profession, as well as those interested in remaining current, must have the necessary training. This partnership gives paralegals a unique opportunity to enhance their skills in the dynamic area of electronic discovery.

“When looking to gain the competitive advantage, working smarter is the best option in litigation as well as other legal practice” said Olley. “It is a win-win scenario when the schools educating the paralegals I may someday hire, invest in the tools necessary to train the paralegals for the current environment. I am so encouraged to see institutions such as Madison College taking the steps to respond to the employer’s demands” Olley said.

Midwest Legal & eData Services, Inc. is a leader in the world of ediscovery and teamed with Norma Kropp at Madison College to develop a curriculum which includes standard protocols and hands-on software training. Midwest Legal & eData Services, Inc. then created a training program based on that curriculum which is being utilized starting this fall in the Madison College paralegal program.
