Recently, Midwest was contracted to assist in a large scale records retention project for a large insurance company. A specific retention schedule was provided and applied to storage inventories for 11 different sites. The project involved reviewing the various descriptions that boxes had been given by personnel at the different sites and then determining not only retention requirements, but also categorizing them into their specific area within the insurance business. The project was originally scheduled to last 8 months and was completed in 6 months which included review of an estimated 50,000 boxes.

ARTICLES & SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Midwest Increases Production Power
Midwest Legal & eData Services has added another weapon to its already bold production arsenal. The Konica Minolta Bizhub 920 is a high-speed, network integrated printer/scanner, and was brought on-line in late February.
The 616 pound Konica has a variety of features that will allow Midwest to further customize productions to our clients’ needs. While 92 ppm and 8 position stapling will increase turn-around time, polymerized toner will maintain the print quality.

FRED II
Midwest has a Forensic Processing computer that adds much more processing power to our arsenal of Forensic analysis. FRED II (as we are calling it) can hold over 7 TERA-Bytes of data, operates on Microsoft System 7 and Intel's latest i7 motherboard, and has 12 GB of RAM! This combined with the latest training Rick Stieghorst received from Access Data on FTK 3.0, puts Midwest on the cutting edge of Computer Forensic Technology.
